A look at the origins, history and culture of Arctic Europe's indigenous people with Eric McVicar

Eric McVicar is Lecturer in Sustainable Ecology in the Arctic on board cruise ships specialising in Arctic Discovery voyages.  He regularly lives with the Sea Sami people in Arctic Norway. His family have also been associated with the Inuit of Greenland and Baffin Island in Arctic Canada since 1904.  He is a member of the Learned Society and regular guest lecturer at the Scottish Association for Marine Science UHI.

Talk (with slides) begins at 7:00pm. Admission £5 (OAPs and under 18s £3). All proceeds go towards local Duke of Edinburgh scheme for young people.
