John Goldie
27 March 2015
Starts: 20:00

World class acoustic guitarist, incorporating a wide range of influences including jazz, blues, Celtic and funk

Regarded as one of the finest acoustic guitarists in the world, John Goldie’s unique ability to blend various styles of music with mind bending fingerstyle techniques has made him a firm favourite with audiences across the globe. Incorporating a wide range of influences including jazz, blues, Celtic and funk, in his hands an acoustic guitar becomes something more than a musical instrument; it becomes an extension of the man himself.

As a solo performer or with his band, the Acoustic unit, John has impressed audiences worldwide with both his own compositions and brilliant arrangements of pop and rock classics including Smoke on the Water, Honky Tonk Woman, September, The Sun Ain’t Gonna Shine Anymore and more, which can be found on his last two solo CDs, Picked in the Past and A Little Of What You Fancy, both released to critical acclaim and also praise from members of the Rolling Stones and Queen to name but a few.

Watching John live is a truly mesmerising experience that shows a musician of such skill and passion that few others can come close to. Find out why the likes of George Benson, Tommy Emmanuel and Martin Taylor are all fans. You won't be disappointed.
