FRAS in concert
23 August 2019

Wild West Highland days and storming tune-fuelled nights have formed Fras, and they come to the Sunart Centre for a seated concert displaying their subtlety and virtuosity in a night of top class West Highland music at its best.

Fras are a fresh, dynamic Highland quintet playing West Coast Highland music with a unique flare and drive from accordion, guitar, bagpipes and flute. Wild West Highland days and storming tune-fuelled nights have formed Fras, and they come to the Sunart Centre for a seated concert displaying their subtlety and virtuosity in a night of top class West Highland music at its best.

Featuring ANGUS BINNIE (pipes/whistles), KIRSTEN MACLEOD (accordion), COLIN MASTERTON (flute/whistle) and MURDO CAMERON (guitar), as a band they draw their inspiration and identity from the wealth of local musical tradition that has nurtured their musical development. They have a strong attachment to the Gaelic language and produce music in a contemporary style that is both authentic and sympathetic to their roots. This will be a night to remember!

Start time 8:00pm (doors open 7:15pm); tickets £12 (OAPs £10, under 18s £6).
