Friday 2nd September

ALL or NOTHING and STRANGEBIRD ZIRKUS present UNCHARTED WATERS

All or Nothing & Strangebird Zirkus are two companies at the forefront of a dynamic new performance style emerging in Scotland. Crossing the boundaries between circus, dance and theatre they bring out the expressive power of movement that surpasses the conventionally possible.
With Uncharted Waters (their first Scottish Theatre Tour) take a step into the unknown. Three short stories are narrated through contemporary circus and aerial dance. A moment of decision suspended in time. Two women on a nautical journey. A secret…while your money lasts. The audience travel through the ebb and flow of worlds on the edge of reality, witness to fear and triumph. You will be swept away by spectacular skill on Chinese pole, aerial fabrics and rope together with stunning imagery and haunting live music & song.
‘spectacular skill and strength’.. ‘charm, energy, originality and style’ (The Scotsman)

Uncharted Waters is performed and devised by Jennifer Paterson of All or Nothing Aerial Dance Theatre, Lucy Deacon & Moritz Linkmann of Strangebird Zirkus and multi instrumentalist Dave Boyd. Including direction from Fringe First winner Christine Devaney, dramatic development from Ben Harrison, soundtracks from David Paul Jones & Jym Daly (Fidget Feet / Loop Guru), lighting design by Jeanine Davies, monitoring from Frank McConnell, skills consultancy from Jacques Bertrand, and costume by Christine Banks & Anna Cocciadiferro.
Made Possible with support from Creative Scotland,  Dance Base, Conflux, mPower, Arts in Motion and Platform.
